My Background
I started personal training as a career in February 2023. What began as a fun job to do while pursuing an exercise science degree from Indiana University quickly turned into a passion. I picked this path like many others because I wanted to be a physical therapist. Going through multiple orthopedic surgeries I wanted to be the person that helped people like my younger self. When I started personal training it struck me. Why do I need to wait until people get hurt to help them? I don’t!
Whether its through general strength and conditioning or powerlifting, I aim to help my clients reach goals and live in capable resilient bodies.
Along my own fitness path, I’ve worked with multiple coaches and mentors and learned from every person I interact with — whether it’s a coach, professor, client, or even a random gym member. One sentence that best describes my coaching philosophy is: “Your pyramid can only be as tall as the base allows,” meaning no amount of flashy training techniques will ever make up for poor execution of the basics. But when that foundation is solid, the sky’s the limit.

Luke’s training helped me lose 50 pounds when I came to college. He started writing me a program and giving me nutritional tips to help me in my journey. He regularly checked up to keep me motivated and was always open to helping me with my questions if I saw him in the gym, even outside of our scheduled times together. Since I started working with him, I not only feel better about myself, but I’m also much more knowledgeable about strength and fitness than I was before. He makes it a priority to explain why we’re doing everything and demystify the gym so I feel more comfortable and capable on my own.

You care very much about your craft, are very communicative and consistent, you’ve fixed multiple issues along the way and have a large wealth of knowledge. literally all i need to do is sit down buckle in and keep doing what you’re telling me to do and it will all fall into place the way it needs to. id say i struck gold on my first go around thank god
